Sewage-Water Treatment and Sewage-Sludge Management with Power Production as Bioenergy with Carbon Capture System: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Sewage-water treatment comprehends primary, secondary, and tertiary steps to produce reusable water after removing sewage contaminants. However, a sewage-water plant is typically power energy consumer produces high volumes of sludge mainly generated in the primary secondary steps. The use more efficient anaerobic digestion with can reasonable flowrates biogas, which shown be consolidated strategy towards self-sufficiency economic feasibility plants. Anaerobic also reduce carbon footprint sources since biogas produced replace fossil fuels for electricity generation. In summary, socio-economic importance high, this review examined works that contemplate: (i) improvements bioenergy production performances; (ii) exploitation technology alternatives plants; (iii) implementation new techniques sewage-sludge management aiming at production; (iv) capture storage.

Sewage sludge-based adsorbents: a review of their production, properties and use in water treatment applications.
The imposition of more stringent legislation governing the disposal and utilisation of sewage sludge, coupled with the growth in its generation and the loss of traditionally accepted disposal routes, has prompted a drive for alternative uses for sewage sludge. One option that exhibits special promise, due to its potential to valorise the sludge, is the conversion of the sludge into adsorbents. ...
متن کاملLipid extraction for biodiesel production from municipal sewage water sludge
Municipal sewage is a source of various lipids where the lipids can be extracted and converted to biodiesel by transesterification reaction. The present study reveals the properties of extracted Lipids like, Viscosity mmS, Density, kg/m3, Acid value mg KOH/g, Iodine value g I2/100 g, Value of saponification(mg KOH/g), Free fatty acid (%),Capric acid (%),Lauric acid (%),Myristic acids (%),Steari...
متن کاملBiofuels from sewage sludge- A review
Municipal sewage sludge is a solid, semisolid, or liquid muddy looking residue that results after plain old sewage (human and other waste from households and industries) is treated at a waste water treatment plant. Recent restrictions on the use of sewage sludge, however, have resulted in increased disposal problems. Sludge contains a variety of organic and inorganic compounds in the waste wate...
متن کاملRemoval of Phenolic Compounds from Water Using Sewage Sludge-Based Activated Carbon Adsorption: A Review
Due to their industrial relevance, phenolic compounds (PC) are amongst the most common organic pollutants found in many industrial wastewater effluents. The potential detrimental health and environmental impacts of PC necessitate their removal from wastewater to meet regulatory discharge standards to ensure meeting sustainable development goals. In recent decades, one of the promising, cost-eff...
متن کاملBiofuel Production from Biomasses, Municipal Solid Waste and Sewage Sludge
The aim of this research line is to study and optimize the production of biofuels through the anaerobic digestion (AD) of organic waste (biohydrogen and biomethane) and the exploitation of lipid-rich biomasses and waste matrices (biodiesel). The research on anaerobic digestion has the following goals: a) the study of the biomethanization of unconventional waste matrices, such as algae, municipa...
